Warehouse Specialist- ISSA

The ISSA Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties included, but not limited to, verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes materials. Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipping for local customer pickup or via outbound shipping for customers off the installation. Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Verifies material and merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. Routes material and equipment to prescribed storage locations. Properly stores, stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Rearranges as necessary and takes inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage. Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment. Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports. Assists in taking inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents. Operating and maintaining forklifts and MHE related equipment. Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives. Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas. Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Other Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 lbs. 50 lbs. assisted. Must be able to operate in a warehouse and outdoor type environment. Must be able to walk on uneven ground and within work various sites and withstand prolonged periods of standing for 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties. Work requires continuous walking, standing and sitting. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures. Work requires extensive interaction with customer. Must comply with published Company work rules. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License without restrictions Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable. Forklift license Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) Must be able to pass the standard background check. Must be able to pass a Pre-screen Drug Test EXPERIENCE: Storage and warehouse functions and associated experience in computer support systems applicable to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and associated warehousing functions. Four (4) years or more experience in warehouse operations. Four (4) years or more experience in driving and operating forklifts. Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism. Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
