Warehouse Specialist Supervisor (MCLC-2024-22041):
Bowhead seeks to network with a Warehouse Specialist Supervisor to assist the Project/Warehouse Manager in providing warehousing functions of receipt off-load and tally, stow, storage/warehousing functions, issue, and transport stock materials to support the Production Plant Albany (PPA) for various maintenance shops during the vehicle maintenance cycle to maintain the PPA’s production schedules.
Responsibilities Required to be on-site. Receives tasks from the Project/Warehouse Manager. Provides leadership and direction to the warehouse staff to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the project professionally.Responsible for allocating resources, managing personnel and monitoring operation performance taking direction from the Government to ensure customer satisfactionEnsuring work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.Responsible for accurate and timely reports are provided.Prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of the labor-hour services ordered.Responsible for cost saving factors and quality controls are used to ensure work is performed as scheduled, and at a fair and reasonable cost. Spot check completed work for compliance with the contract work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines. In the absence of the PM, attend all workload planning meetings and assign personnel according to workload plan and confirm projected workload completion. Responsible for ensuring adequate number of personnel are assigned to each functional area to accomplish the daily assigned workload.Review training and performance requirements for personnel to ensure training matches with duties performed within the PWS.Ensure personnel licenses, certifications, and qualifications are maintained current, and documented. Follow safety protocols and maintains a high level of safety awareness. Accountable for assigned Company Owned Property, Government Furnished Property, and Government Furnished Equipment. Ensure work is performed in accordance with published Instructions, Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree and High School Diploma or equivalent At least five (5) years of experience of Logistics, warehousing, and distributions supervisory experience Possess the basic knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and be responsible for the successful completion of the work.Required to obtain and maintain a valid operating permit for the specific type of MHE (4K and 6K capacity)Knowledgeable of established warehousing and material handling methods and techniques.Have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this supervisory role.Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government Representative, and outside contacts.Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.US Citizenship is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides leadership and direction to the warehouse team. Monitor/provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, coaching, and disciplinary action. Ensures flow of communication from upper management to employees and vice versa.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.High noise levels are common as is the potential exposure to heat/cold, noise, dusts, mist, and/or fumes.
Environment
Limited physical accommodations available.Work areas consist of office and non-office settings such and industrial locations. Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes COVID-19 mask, safety glasses, protective-toe footwear, gloves, and hearing protection.
Security Requirements
Ability to obtain a Common Access Card through a favorable Personnel Security Investigations and subsequent National Agency Check with Inquiries.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must pass a base security background check for CAC. US Citizenship is a requirement for at this location.
