In this role, you will:
Assist as required with the day-to-day Warehousing activities in support of the Victoria In-Service Support Contract (VISSC). Duties include, but not limited to;
Material management, including handling, shipping, issuing, receiving and warehousing Operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as propane and electric fork lifts, and hand-held power tool operation Inventory management, including annual stock taking and verification Work load planning Data entry and report generation in Babcock’s ERP System Organizing storage areas and participate in stock taking Maintaining a clean, organized and safe environment by complying with relevant company policies and procedures Other duties as necessary
The ideal candidate brings:
You have at least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment; experience in DND supply chain operations would be considered an asset You have a high school diploma or equivalent Capable of manually lifting up to 50lbs Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; Word, Excel and Outlook. You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team You have the ability to prioritize and work well in a fast paced environment Inventor Control experience Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) (an asset) Experience with the operation of material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. (an asset) You must be flexible for work hours; the successful individual may be required to work early mornings, late afternoons. Workplace Hazardous Management Information Systems (WHMIS) (an asset, annual training is provided) You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
