What Operations Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function.
Responsibilities
Team Supervision: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 12–15 Senior Associates, ensuring high performance and accountability in daily operations. Inventory Management: Oversee and manage monthly cycle count requirements to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance. Quality Control: Enforce and monitor quality procedures across all operations, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards. Data Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on daily, weekly, and monthly trends related to inventory accuracy and quality performance. Process Improvement: Monitor daily reports to ensure workflow procedures are current, effective, and aligned with operational goals. Project Management: Lead and complete various quality projects on a monthly basis to support continuous improvement efforts. Disposal Management: Oversee the proper disposal of expired or damaged inventory in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP systems, WMS).Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement.Qualifications
4-8 years of experience preferredBA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferredExperience with Lean Management preferredExperience in Change Management preferred
