Job Description

This critical role provides both strategic and operational leadership to ensure “best in class” daily operation of the El Paso distribution center. Drives toward a zero-accident safety culture, facilitates continuous improvement activities, and creates a positive work environment demonstrated through leadership by example.  Oversees a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, cross dock, kitting, and management of inventory specifically through a robust cycle counting program.  People management responsibilities include hiring, training, manpower planning, balancing daily workload, performance management, and problem solving.

As a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor, YOU WILL:

Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.  Once on the job, effective “outcomes based” coaching and counseling.Responsible for the inventory management process including cycle counts and adjustments.Responsible for training, supervision, and scheduling of all shipping/receiving associates.Responsible for the unloading, verifying and receiving of all finished goods.Responsible for order selection, replenishment, and loading of all product.Demonstrate continuous improvement of warehouse operations by decreasing turnaround time, streamlining work processes, and providing customer support.Manage and model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedure.Maintain general oversight of building conditions with particular attention paid to cleanliness, product storage, safety concerns, product damage prevention and internal security concerns.Controls costs on supplies and labor.Coordinates deliveries and dispatch activities as needed.Review all paperwork/processes for accuracy and coordinate timely outbound deliveries/inbound receipts with clerical team, customer service, and transportation as needed.Monitor employee performance, attendance and provide correction/training as needed.Manage through floor presence, group interaction, and analysis of WMS production data with pre-determined productivity expectations.Knowledge and Familiarity with Customs Documentation Requirements.Monthly execution of key performance indicators, productivity, on time delivery, monthly sales, cycle counts, safety, etc.Work with flexible schedule and occasional overtimeOther duties/projects as assigned by DC Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years warehouse supervisory experiences; Or 10+ years of related experience in  Supply Chain or a related fieldAdvanced knowledge of Inventory ManagementExcellent communication skills English / SpanishExperience with 5S + ! Process and ProceduresExperience with MS Office Suite, advanced skills with Enterprise Resource Program such as SAP, Oracle, or JDEExperience with receiving/shipping, inventory control functions using a warehouse managementExperience with Carrier Portals/OTM/SCOExperience working with Contractors and VendorsStrong Customer Service BaseLegal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

JDE / Oracle experienceRF scanner (Intermec as example) experience1 to 2 years in a high-SKU distribution networkExperience facilitating improvement eventsExperience in an ISO certified location

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employees will be exposed to moderate noise level. Due to the open environment of the warehouse, employees must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions that can include extreme heat, humidity, and cold. The Distribution Center also has high forklift traffic.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must be able to stand for extended periods of time, sit, walk, kneel, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs. boxes. Employees must be able to lift boxes 50% of the time or more.

Schedule

In this role, the ability to work flexible hours and/or a variety of shifts to meet customer demands is necessary. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers. This role may have a travel requirement of 5-10% of its time.

The 2nd shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
