The Burpee company has been in business over one hundred forty years and is the most trusted brand in home gardening.  This is your opportunity to become a valued team member of a trusted industry leader.  We have an immediate opening for a full time Warehouse Supervisor in our Warminster, PA headquarters, which is conveniently located and walkable from Septa bus stops and local regional rail station in Warminster, PA.  Burpee offers a great work environment in a climate controlled, clean, secured facility where appropriate social distancing practices are enforced.  The successful candidate for this position will be innovative, dynamic and detail oriented with a minimum of 5-7+ years’ related supervisory experience in warehousing, shipping, quality, and/or general operations.     Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Supervisor position include the following: + Oversee receiving, shipping, and palletizing teams + Obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. + Assist with determining staffing needs, material needs, and facility and equipment needs + Adhere to and promote the compliance of all company, legal, and safety policies and guidelines. + Maintain inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping functions. + Allocate labor and ensure efficiency of all assigned warehouse staff. + Ensure the proper functioning of all warehouse equipment and machines. + Administer quality systems using basic skills and knowledge of appropriate procedures, methods and techniques, as well as applicable current good manufacturing practice and customer requirements. Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the quality system. + Ability to quickly assess assigned task requirements, identify potential challenges, and communicate effectively in order to expedite the successful execution of assigned work + Assists in the modification and development of standardized work processes, process improvements, work instructions, training on processes, and supervises daily quality operations. + Identifies, develops, and implements strategies to attain quality targets with respect to production demands. + Additional duties and projects as assigned. The Warehouse Supervisor will provide assistance and support to multiple areas of operations. This individual will play a key role in the implementation of multiple department initiatives, as well as the enhancement of current processes and programs.  This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, analytical, KPI and reporting-driven individual interested in working in a progressive department. As Warehouse Supervisor, you will contribute to the overall success of the organization by assisting with the management and oversight of all warehouse and quality management duties ensuring smooth, safe, and productive operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with ISO 9000, quality management systems, lean manufacturing, or similar.
