Job Description The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising operations personnel of which include: Delivery Drivers, General Warehouse, and Fleet Personnel. Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Oversee South Windsor Shuttle and Naugatuck Operations as needed. + This position will be responsible for strategic route planning, with the goal of improving efficiency and to satisfy customer demand and service requirements with the optimal delivery operating expenses. + Ensure daily DSD route planning is done optimally to build efficiency and consistency, thus reducing operating expenses. + Work closely with the Sales Center’s leadership, sales, warehouse, fleet department, and corporate support teams to ensure that daily routing supports the demand, is accurate, timely and achieves optimal cost parameters. + Responsible for execution of inventory managements processes, including but not limited to, accurate customer invoicing, inventory returns, Check-out and Check-in. + Maintain accurate inventory records; Follow day to day inventory processes. + Supervise team of warehouse employees; ensure team is adequately staffed, managed, trained and evaluated. + Manage within budgetary and operational guidelines. + Comply with OSHA regulations as well as company established policies and procedures. + Maintain and enforce standards of health, safety, and security. + Make recommendations and implement processes to improve the overall productivity, quality and safety of warehouse, shuttle, and fleet operations. Job Requirements + High school diploma, GED or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. + Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred. + Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred; forklift certification a plus + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word + Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and across teams where necessary, to develop relationships throughout the company and to work collaboratively. + Ability to effectively lead, develop, manage, and motivate employees. + Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, to clearly articulate relevant ideas, opinions, and information.
