Job Summary

The warehouse supervisor has primary responsibility for supervision of all warehousing, material control, in-storage maintenance, rotating parts inventory, managing cycle-counts, shelf life, QC inspection processes, records management, and IVP vehicle fleet management.  The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods.  The supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. 

 

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

Interpret and administer company policies and procedures. Manage warehouse functions to ensure that parts are stored and maintained to meet technical and quality requirements and are available to meet work week and outage schedules. Prepare reports, charts and briefings dealing with inventories, material availability, contract status, facilities, equipment, etc. Work with NRG supply chain organization to align priorities and resolve technical issues. Provide emergency, back-shift and outage support as required. Support the Emergency Response Organization and activities. Assist with the preparation of budgets and costs for warehouse operations. Complete recurring cycle counts and related SOX requirements. Lead Ivanpah vehicle fleet management program. Perform day to day supervision of all warehouse functions (material control, housekeeping, in-storage maintenance, shelf-life, staging or parts, issuing and shipping). Coordinate transfer of materials as needed. Support NRG Supply Chain leadership in the oversight and implementation of the Vendor Managed Inventory Program (VMI). Support leadership in the administration of inventory processes. Manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities. Function as a team leader for assigned Supply Chain Processes. Serve as primary liaison between Warehouse, Logistics and Procurement. Responsible for safety, leadership, training and supervision of site Materials personnel. Establish departmental objectives and standards of performance in accordance with defined Supply Chain objectives. Ensure that personnel implement assigned processes in accordance with Supply Chain procedures and expectations. May perform other duties as assigned.

 

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

 

Working Conditions:

Warehouse Environment Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Outdoor Environment

 

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required. Fork-lift certified Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 3 – 5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or material control Proven experience in inventory management and material handling

 

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP inventory management software. Experience supervising multiple employees, preferred. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

 

Additional KSAs:

Ability to use computer for Inventory tracking and systems (preferred MAS 200), spreadsheets, and shipping all types of orders (Consumer – B2C, B2B, International, LTL, etc) Problem solving skills, highly motivated, well organized, punctual. Use different shipping methods/vendors: UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, etc. Ability to thrive in high stress situations. Ability to meet time constraining demands.

 

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient in warehouse management software and MS Office. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

 

Please Note:  The salary range for this role is $62,240 - $93,360. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
