Warehouse Supervisor

Primary Purpose of this position:

Handles the day to day supervision of employees, processes, quality, GMP, housekeeping, and safety in the warehouse.  Develops and supports key warehousing performances indicators.  Must be able to solve problems and make good, timely decisions, exhibit company core values, and be a change agent for continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:

Directs day to day tasks to ensure maximum utilization of time, resources, equipment, and effort. Responsible for the storage and accuracy of inventory. Responsible for the Ormond Beach cycle count program Directs overall safety, housekeeping and environmental initiatives within the warehouse, as well as addressing related issues.  Handles routine issues with regards to employee relations: Colleague planning & staffing Colleague payroll administration Performance evaluations Process and Policy administration Conflict management Rewards & Recognition Employee Engagement Provide direction, development and guidance to hourly teammates. Responsible for effective, consistent delivery of progressive discipline. Effectively communicate relevant issues to the Warehouse Manager. Be a catalyst for continuously improving the overall effectiveness of the warehouse operations Responsible for the accurate completion and maintenance of Production /Warehouse Records. Make decisions based on achieving and maintaining department and business goals. Supply department employees with daily goals and overall performance matrixes Carry out warehousing tasks within the parameters of the cost center budget. Adapt to change, anticipates problems and develops a plan. Collaborates with Quality, Planning, and other areas to create a partnership to remove barriers and accomplish goals. Develop teammates to meet training and staffing requirements of department. Ensure correct implementation and documentation of department SOP files. Conduct investigations, identify root causes and initiate appropriate preventive and corrective actions. Enforce all cGMP & Lean 5S rules within work area. Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects within department. Responsible for the spending, cost effectiveness, and manufacturing variances within work area. Responsible for meeting the quality, safety and productivity targets within the work area. Perform any additional job-related duties as requested. 

 

Required Experience/Education:

BA/BS degree preferred; or high school diploma/ GED from an accredited institution plus equivalent experience Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in inventory control and warehousing Minimum of two years experience in a leadership role

 

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Ability to handle confidential information Knowledge in SAP, RF data collection, Excel, and Word Leadership skills, including effective conflict resolution skills Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization Current Forklift license Problem Solving/Analytical Skills Ability to adapt to various demanding situations

Work Environment

Some travel may be required for training, etc. Work on night shifts and weekends may be required. Exposure to health risks or conditions that may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
