Quality Custom Distribution is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and team management, ensuring that all warehouse activities run smoothly and efficiently. 4-day work week, start time 6:15am

This role is bonus eligible.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity.Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to optimize inventory control and order fulfillment processes.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among team members.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.Oversee heavy lifting operations, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed during material handling.Collaborate with other departments, including e-commerce teams, to streamline logistics processes and improve service delivery.Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics, with a focus on team leadership.Familiarity with AS400 systems and other warehouse management software.Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations and equipment maintenance.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively lead a team.Knowledge of e-commerce logistics is a plus but not required.

LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Supervises of up to 30 hourly associates. Manages projects and assignments with significant impact on customer service.

Responsibilities

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day operations for the warehouse department to ensure that established objectives for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded. (25%)Monitors loading, dispatch, and receiving times and makes appropriate changes, ensuring compliance with QIP, HACCP, and DOT regulations. (25%)Routinely informs and communicates with associates to ensure compliance with established warehouse productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures. (25%)Monitors and completes numerous computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, daily logs, damage reports, etc. (10%)Monitors product damage and audits routes to ensure reliable product delivery. (5%)Plans and schedules manpower. (5%)Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization reports. (5%)Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification:

AA degree from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college institution. Forklift instructor certification.

Experience:

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
