Warehouse Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations while creating a safe and efficient workplace for all employees. The Supervisor will also build a team-centric environment to engage the workforce and lift morale to help achieve department goals. This person will supervise and assist every member of the team in doing their specific job effectively, as well as coach to improve when needed. Lastly, this person will be a team player and work with all other departments at the brewery to meet company goals and initiatives. STATUS: Full Time SHIFT: Afternoons and/or Overnights; Weekends and OT as needed LOCATION: Rochester, NY DEPARTMENT: Warehouse JOB TYPE: Exempt ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES + Maintain a safe work environment through continuous safety training and providing all necessary Personal Protection to greatly reduce safety risks. + Ensure efficient and accurate production through proper training, documentation and analysis from the bottle house (production) to the transportation (delivery) and all stages in between. + Communicate effectively within the department, between other departments, and with all outside carriers, suppliers, or customers. + Engage the workforce and manage the employee relationships within the department to encourage a cohesive goal-oriented team. + Work with employees to create a culture of safety that educates employees in warehouse policies and procedures. + Ongoing full analyses of production, shop orders, production numbers, lot codes, and BPCS transaction reconciliation. + Live-load scheduling, coordination and expediting to increase efficiency. + Continuous verification of receiving raw materials, maintain an open line of communication with purchasing and packaging departments to ensure accuracy. + Coach, develop, mentor, engage and evaluate employees including documentation, training, and disciplinary action as needed. + Recognizes good performance and initiates follow-up whenever necessary. + Serve as a leader and role model to the Warehouse Employees by “Leading by Example”. + Help standardize positions in the warehouse to provide clear expectations to all personnel in various roles in the warehouse (safety, duties, and cleanliness). + Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) and communicates such rules to the team. + Full understanding of the relationships in warehouse: production, variety packing, and shipping. + Complete knowledge of the BPCS system for daily use and troubleshooting with a working basic knowledge of the QuikTrack system for troubleshooting. + Full support of the Warehouse Coordinator through education and coverage where necessary. + Works with and indirectly supervises maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems, troubleshooting, and execution of PM work. + Ensure shipping accuracy: ship the right product in the right quantities, on time. + Maintain complete and accurate inventory at all times, review the processes and procedures surrounding inventory, and participate in inventory count teams. + Enter maintenance work orders and follow through on progress to ensure hazards, etc. are addressed and/or corrected. + Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment. + Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE + 5+ years of Warehouse experience preferred. + Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Skype). + Experience in BPCS and QuikTrack. + Leadership and multitasking abilities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. + Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. + Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. + Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. + Adjusting or moving objects up to __ pounds in all directions. + Communicating with others to exchange information. + Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. + Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. + Low temperatures. + High temperatures. + Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. + Noisy environments. + Hazardous conditions. + No adverse environmental conditions expected. + Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. + Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $84,600 – 127,000/year, not including benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at FIFCO USA, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to enable future & continued salary growth.
