**Position:** Warehouse Supervisor
**Job Location:** Norwalk, CA
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Status:** Non-Exempt
**Summary of the Role**
The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on team lead who can guide and manage activities related to the functioning of the warehouse in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve facility and company goals to become a world-class distribution center while meeting operating revenue, growth, and service. This role reports directly to the Branch Operations Manager.
**Responsibilities**
+ Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
+ Plan, organize, direct, delegate and engage in all warehouse activities
+ Perform expediting functions, closing shop work orders and processing shipping docs
+ Assist Quality with MTR filing and customer requirements for COC documents
+ Work cross functionally to control and manage backlog
+ Supervise staff, including training, setting expectations and daily objectives while holding team members accountable, including progressive discipline.
+ Ensure team members provide a first-class service and maintain a professional manner and communicate regularly and clearly with internal and external team members
+ Ensure that all transactions are kept current, recorded accurately, and processed efficiently.
+ Supervise quality control
+ Ensure team members are actively managed, motivated and trained
+ Motivate, coach and mentor all team members to create and reflect a positive and pro-active approach to achieving results in a team orientated culture.
+ Maintains safe, clean and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures
+ Other duties as may be assigned.
**Skills and Abilities**
+ Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to handle stressful situations in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
+ Must have a sense of “team” response to satisfy sales goals and assure 100% customer satisfaction and the ability to interact effectively with all types of people.
+ Requires basic computer proficiency, including Internet, e-mail, the operating system, Word, Excel, and various other software as needed.
+ Must also have strong organization skills, ability to prioritize workload, and be able to interact effectively with all types of people in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
+ Able to work extended hours and weekends to meet business needs
+ Forklift experience required
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Must be 21 years of age or older
+ A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
+ Minimum 3 years of supervisory/lead experience in a distribution center preferred
+ 7-10 years of warehousing, logistics and processing material preferred
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Reliable transportation is a must
+ Ability to work overtime, as required
+ Ability to work nights and weekends, as required
+ Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs independently on a repeated basis.
+ Ability to consistently move throughout the facility during the full workday
+ Ability to sit for long periods of time
