Warehouse Supervisor

Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their facility in Swedesboro, NJ. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in warehouse management and a passion for process improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of floor layout and warehouse organization to ensure proper pallet placement and efficient use of storage space.Calibrate forklifts following proper procedures to ensure accuracy in functionality.Conduct forklift validations every eight hours to ensure all forklifts operate correctly and comply with safety standards.Ensure daily completion of forklift inspection sheets and promptly address any issues reported by operators.Oversee live inbound and outbound clerk operations, ensuring all shipments are staged and verified before shipping.Verify that all shipment-related paperwork is accurately completed by operators and clerks, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring the correct number of pallets is accounted for on the floor and properly recorded in SharePoint.Conduct weekly safety talks, presenting safety topics to employees and ensuring attendance and sign-offs.Perform weekly safety walks, inspecting warehouse conditions and completing necessary paperwork to ensure safety standards are met.Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections, ensuring all extinguishers are in good condition and properly maintained.Complete risk assessments to evaluate potential hazards within the warehouse, documenting concerns and ensuring corrective actions are taken.Ensure daily and weekly forklift sign-offs are completed by all operators, verifying that equipment is safe to use.

Requirements:

3+ years experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.Proficiency in excel for tracking shipments, inventory, and reporting.Strong leadership and training capabilities, with the ability to mentor and certify forklift operators.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
