Warehouse Supervisor
Provide working support where needed in the stockroom daily. Provide direction to stockroom employees on daily priorities. Provide answers and solutions for questions or issues incurred by stockroom employees. Education/Work Experience + High School Diploma or higher. + 5+ years related experience. + Minimum 2 years as a Lead or Supervising/Managing people. Skills/Knowledge + Must be able to learn positions reporting to you. + Must be able to communicate with all levels, from subordinate to Management, clearly and effectively. + Must be able to prioritize quickly and effectively. + Must be able to perform intermediate excel functions. + Must be able to use outlook and teams effectively. + Must be able to run reports daily. + Must be able to analyze and interpret data. + Must be able to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies effectively and in a timely manner. + Must be able to provide clear daily direction to stockroom employees. + Must be able to interact with all departments effectively and clearly. + Must be able to multitask effectively. + Must be able to meet deadlines. + Must be able to work under high levels of stress and scrutiny. + Must be able to delegate tasks. Qualifications Essential Job Elements + Analyze and determine daily priorities quickly and correctly. + Provide daily direction on priorities to employees. + Must be able to make informed decisions. + Ability to learn and have functional knowledge of positions reporting to them. + Suggest new processes to optimize flow and efficiency. + Daily review and approvals of employees’ time, attendance and PTO requests. + Responsible for employee’s individual metrics. + Responsible for daily metrics. + Ability to motivate, coach and provide opportunities for advancement to employees. + Implement and conduct monthly check ins with employees. + Must be able to determine when workloads exceed capacity; and suggest when OT is required. + Responsible for participating in and preparing for year-end inventory audits. + Investigate and resolve issues in a timely fashion. + Must work hours that allow for a crossover between both shifts. Preferably 8-6. + Provide feedback and data to Management. + Be able to read, interpret and understand data in the MRP system. + Perform MRP transactions at a higher level than standard employees. + Be able to work under stress and deadlines. + Must have the ability to adapt quickly to new situations and processes. + Must be able to work overtime often and specifically at month end/year end. + Must be able to coordinate and or/drive shipments to local carrier HUBS as needed. + Conduct interviews, make recommendations on hiring. + Communicate clearly and effectively. Both verbally and written. + Provide details and data to Manager for employee reviews/promotions/disciplinary actions needed. + Attend daily meetings. + Update and review procedures regularly. + Perform other related duties as assigned .
