The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to assist the Warehouse Manager by supervising associates performing receiving and shipping functions; and to ensure their safe, accurate, and efficient performance. The Warehouse Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities for two or more associates in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 4:30 PM - 1:00 AMSunday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PMEssential Functions: Departmental Duties
Oversees the daily operations of the Receiving, Shipping and Replenishment including opening and closing procedures
Conducts observations of safe work practices and the quality of work to ensure best practices are utilized
Effectively communicates with DC and warehouse managers by various methods including attending staff meetings and providing thorough documentation.
Assists in the creation and implementation of warehouse incentive programs
Conducts daily checks of temperatures (shipping dock, cooler, freezer, dry) and documents appropriately
Oversee the overall cleanliness of the facility during their shift
Ensures that associates follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) guidelines for Food Safety and Security.
Essential Functions: Supervisorial Duties (assigned based on individual skill and experience)
Model and promote the mission, vision, and values of the company; build trust-based relationships; mentor associates
Follow and enforce all departmental procedures and company policies, including regular and reliable attendance.
Ensure positive, consistent perceptions of the company with internal and external customers.
Assign new associates to the department trainer; provide training assistance when needed; monitor training process; ensure proper training documentation.
Coach associates to improve performance and productivity.

work with manager to achieve performance expectations
coach, develop and motivate competent and committed associates
recommend “A players” to manager
Solve minor associate concerns (i.e. personality differences, schedule conflicts); report larger concerns to manager.
Monitor, adjust, and approve associate timecards; approve Leave of Absence requests; make schedule changes.
Provide input to manager for departmental staffing; offer hiring and termination recommendations.
Resolve immediate business process issues; report same to manager; work with manager to achieve labor and expense expectations.
Proactively recognize and reward associates for positive attitude and significant accomplishment.
Write and administer performance reviews.
Write and administer routine Counseling & Disciplinary Actions; recommend CDA with suspension (may write and administer with manager’s approval)
Demonstrate safe behavior at all times, especially when using company property and/or operating equipment or vehicles; enforce all safety and security procedures; immediately report incidents following established protocols; send Flash Report if first informed; conduct incident investigations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - General:
Knowledge of basic mathematics (i.e. addition, subtraction, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate in English (i.e. read, write, speak confidently to individuals and small groups).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Good relational/interpersonal abilities, such as: listening and clarifying; teaching basic tasks; coaching for increased performance; adapting to different personalities.
Basic organizational skills, such as: attention to detail and follow through; ability to meet multiple due dates and timelines.
Ability to work in a setting that demands a professional, highly ethical person; maintains confidences; demonstrates respect to people of all stations; is trustworthy and accountable for own actions.
Willingness to work a varying schedule.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Specific:
Strong knowledge of receiving, shipping, replenishment, and inventory control methods and practices.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required, and
Minimum three (3) years work experience in foodservice industry (or related field), or
Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience
Physical Requirements:
Sit, stand and walk regularly (25-50%); bend/twist, kneel/squat, reach, climb occasionally (<25%)
Lift, carry, push/pull up to 90# occasionally (<25%)
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly exposed to both an indoor office environment and outside weather conditions; regularly exposed to extreme changes in temperature; the noise level is usually moderate.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $24.00 - $33.00. As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.
