Pay Rate: $27.47 to $28.57 an hour * $1.00 an hour shift differential

Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to the Logistics Supervisor and is responsible for coordinating truck traffic and leading shipping material handlers.
The essential duties shall be as follows:
Unloading inbound deliveries from outside suppliers and warehouse shuttlesLoad outbound shipments to customers or warehouse shuttles back to plantMaintain accurate inventory records of all material in warehousePerform cycle counts on warehouse inventoryShip product using FIFO (First-in, First-out) rotationCreate shipping documentation (packing lists, bills-of-lading, etc.) as neededMaintain organization & housekeepingTrain Material Handler personnel as neededWill participate in monthly physical inventory countsWill load or unload trailers in Grant Park as necessaryWill be responsible for scheduling outbound shipments.Will participate in mobile equipment trainingMust be a demonstrated team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.Other duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor or Unit ManagerSupport plant product food safety management programs, initiatives, and objectives.Assist plant management staff and Quality Manager/Lead in completing mock product recalls (minimum of 2 per year)
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Forklift experience
Warehouse experience
Working knowledge of computers (Word, Excel, SAP)
Highly organized and have the ability to keep accurate records, good interpersonal and communication skills and able to coordinate and execute projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 30-50 pounds daily.

The plant was built in 1960's, Warehouse and Office areas added in 1988, and has approximately 150 employees.
