Warehouse Team Lead

The main purpose of the position is to support the warehouse supervisor in day-to-day warehouse activities to ensure the team meets established daily goals. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reports any problems with equipment, associates and processes in the area to Department Supervisor

Monitor and maintain safety practices/techniques to ensure a safe working environment

Improve and sustain 5s program 

Support Lean & Kaizen initiatives and drive continuous improvement 

Responsible for new hire training and employee development. 

Make cross-training suggestions to make the department more effective and flexible 

Establishes or adjusts standard work procedures to enhance EE skills and department performance 

Ensure effective associate relations through efficient communication skills and promote a “TEAM” environment 

Must have good motivational and leadership skills 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Focus on safety first  

Possess a sense of urgency

Must be team oriented and task driven 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to train 

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands 

Required to lift and/or move 10 lbs regularly and up to 33 lbs occasionally 

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud noises, and occasionally extreme temperatures 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

HS Diploma or GED Equivalent, Technical School Preferred 

3 years related experience on a team lead position 

Computer literate with experience in Word, Excel, Power Point. 

Familiar with basic ERP systems concepts (SAP, Oracle, Baan IV, JDA, …) 

Ability to multitask
