What You Will Do
As our Warehouse Technician there will be no typical day. You will be responsible for a wide variety of logistical planning and management, material procurement and equipment/material loading duties that directly supports the construction function for all projects, companywide. Please note that this position has an on-call aspect as GSI is an emergency contractor. If our customers have an emergency like a landslide, that is an emergency for GSI as well and we maintain an 24/7 response environment.

ResponsibilitiesGeneral labor in warehouse- this is a working position which will require pulling orders, loading orders, cleaning and maintenance in addition to all dutiesInventory control/audit preparation for Warehouse DepartmentInventory counting at random intervals on all itemsAbility to learn every individual material item and what its use is immediately upon hirePull all outgoing orders and re-inventory all return orders from all jobsShipping & Receiving duties- including loading and unloading all incoming and outgoing shipmentsEnsure all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe, efficient manner at all timesStrategically manage warehouse in compliance with company procedures and company cultureMaintains receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and ensuring that GSI operational procedures are followed Maintain current inventory counts dailyOrder and maintain inventory levels of all consumable items for field crewsPrepare capital expenditure requests, shipping costs reports, and daily statistics reportsSchedule all shipping and receiving transports for both material and equipment going into the fieldOrder and organize tooling for new crews and maintain tooling for existing crewsWork directly with project managers to ensure timely order submission and pulling This is a rotational on call position as we are an emergency contractor and you will be required to be called in and/or stay late to complete emergency orders at any time. You must be on call 24/7 during your assigned rotation to assist with any request that need immediate attention. Qualifications
Qualifications
1+ years experience in logistics, warehouse, or comparable position Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all vendors/suppliers, Project Managers, and other internal and external critical contacts within project scopeWorking knowledge of software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and WordMust have equipment operating experience, preferably a tele handler forklift as well as indoor forklift/general knowledge of daily maintenance on forklifts/equipmentMust be able to receive Class A CDL within 3 months of employment or possess Class A CDL upon employmentPossess organization, accuracy, great communication skills and attention to detail Must be self-motivated to initiate what needs to be done and do so without direct supervision/directionPreferred Qualifications
College degree preferred but not required with appropriate experience- Business Management/Logistics/Management or similar
1-3 plus years’ experience in logistics/warehousing or similar area
