Warehouse Trainer

The Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to ensure that warehouse staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their roles effectively. The trainer will focus on operational efficiency, safety procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and compliance within the warehouse environment. Associates need to be able to operate machinery, ensure compliance with safety regulations and organize and clean the warehouse. Teamwork, attention to detail and respect for others are all essential for success in the site.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
· Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and instructional videos.
· Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions for new hires and existing staff on warehouse operations, equipment use, and company protocols.
· Deliver refresher courses on safety standards, operational guidelines, and process improvements.
· facilitate onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring they are familiar with warehouse policies, procedures, and safety practices
· Provide detailed instructions on workplace safety, including OSHA and company-specific regulations.
· Regularly review safety policies and conduct periodic drills to ensure readiness.
· Train staff on the use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and inventory management systems.
· Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
· Assess employee performance during and after training sessions, providing feedback and additional support as needed.
· Track training progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, certifications, and compliance.
· Collaborate with management to identify skill gaps and develop tailored training programs to address them.
· Stay updated on industry trends and recommend enhancements to training methodologies.
· Follow all company safety rules, policies, and regulations to promote a safe work environment; promptly report any potential violations
+ Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as a forklift or pallet driver, and work at heights up to 40 feet. Equipment training and certification are provided free of cost.
+ Work overtime as deemed necessary by management.
· Assist in the daily sanitation of assigned area to insure an efficient, safe, hazard free production environment.
· Meet or exceed company standards on attendance, punctuality, conduct, safety and security.
· Flexibly adapt to changes in process and procedures.
· Flexibly work in various areas of the Fulfillment Center as volume demands including the prep, picking, packing, gift wrap, loading areas etc. as the business requires.
· Good oral and written communication skills, interpersonal Interactions and problem solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively in dynamic, multi-functional and multi-cultural environment.
· Ability to prioritize tasks to meet departmental objectives.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
**Qualifications:**
· Basic computer skills
· One to two years related experience and/or training in warehousing or distribution operations preferred
· Ability to stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time
· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds to aid operations.
**Pay Details:** $18.50 per hour
