How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

This associate will be responsible for safely stocking, storing, and labeling all incoming materials and supplies at the location’s warehouse for future redistribution. This position will also be responsible for picking, packing, and distributing materials and supplies for delivery via outside carriers or local Airgas drivers to the customer’s location. Additionally, this associate will deliver and service key vending account customers and customer cabinets/storerooms relative to the inventory of gases, consumables, and safety products. This position does basic troubleshooting and mechanical repairs as needed and focuses on servicing existing accounts throughout an assigned territory.

The hourly rate ranges from $21- $24.Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.Stocks, stores, labels, picks/packs, and distributes materials and supplies.Validates delivery of materials and provides a physical receipt.Performs periodic inventory of warehouse/plant materials as directed.Organizes and controls site warehouse inventoried items.Review incoming and outgoing product invoices per Company policy.Safely operates a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse/material handling equipment.Follows appropriate Company policies and procedures (SOPs) as they relate to distribution, safety, etc.Performs general site housekeeping duties as required.Loads and unloads service trucks with gas cylinders, containers, and supplies for scheduled route deliveries as directed by the dispatcher.Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management.Delivery and replenishment of various industrial products, vending machines, or storeroom items.Perform basic troubleshooting and repair mechanical systems as needed.Review manual stock levels of various inventories at multiple plant departments for reordering.Maintain dedicated branch inventory levels for proper replenishment. Tracks and turns in delivery tickets and consignment fill tickets.From time to time, VMI responsibilities may include commuting to assigned customer sites to manage customer service relationships and packaged gas inventory of Airgas Cylinders/VGLs at the customer's site.Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed & any accidents or injuries are promptly reported to management.Be responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.Maintains neat, clean, and professional personal appearance.Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, vendors, co-workers, and management.All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.________________________Are you a MATCH?

Required Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Welding Technology, or Sales preferred.

Required Length & Type of Experience:

Must have a valid US Driver's LicenseTwo to five years of prior experience in warehouse operations is required, and product distribution or inventory management.Strong background in gas, welding, and safety supply or chemical industry preferred.Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred.Proficient working knowledge of SAP and Google Suite (GMAIL, Sheets, Docs, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA’s):

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and ability to push and or pull up to 75 lbs.Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Self-starter; self-motivated; operates with a sense of urgency; can work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solver with a high level of attention to detail.Demonstrated planning skills and outstanding personal relationship skills.Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner to explain information to customers and employees.Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds within Airgas and outside the Company.Must maintain a clean driving record per our driver qualification policy.Requires both indoor & outdoor environments in various seasonal weather conditions. Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hoursJob requires visitation to various Airgas and customer sites, which have varying environments/conditions, layouts, and accessibility. The environment may contain loud noises and/or odors that may last for an extended period or on a continual basis.
