Schedule Monday -Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm Saturday after 2 weeks (MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OT) Pay: $17.00 General Summary The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the performance of a variety of data-entry tasks, such as recording and keeping records of all incoming and outgoing shipments. They check each shipment against shipping invoices or bills of lading. This role is responsible for the timely and efficient completion of a variety of daily functions related to inbound and outbound processes, which includes data-entry, report development and generation, scheduling, filing and internal and external customer communications. Position is responsible for maintaining standards of safety, accuracy and productivity Primary Responsibilities 1. Performs Data Entry functions 2. Coordinates and schedules pick-ups 3. Ensures timely and accurate shipment processing 4. Responsible for collecting, collating and disseminating the departmental data in the appropriate formats Education/Experience 1. High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related data processing experience, ideally within a distribution center environment 2. One (1) year of experience involved in performing work in a warehouse/clerical environment that requires the use of various warehouse/clerical practices 3. PC skills required (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (EXCEL, WORD) 4. Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred 5. Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines 6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical/Cognitive Requirements With or without accommodation: 1. Ability to follow policies and procedures. 2. Ability to read, write and interpret information. 3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. 4. Ability to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel. 5. Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours
