**Job Title: Warehouse Worker** **Job Description** As a Warehouse Worker, you will be maintaining the cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading delivery vehicles, accepting delivery of inventory, counting and confirming inventory, and inspecting inventory for damage and faults. In case of errors, it's essential to effectively communicate with the relevant parties. Additionally, you will be expected to mark and label stock and operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks. The role requires physical strength, as you will be expected to lift weights between 50 and 100 pounds. **Responsibilities** + Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment + Load and unload delivery vehicles + Accept delivery of inventory + Count and confirm inventory + Inspect inventory for damage and faults + Effectively communicate with relevant parties in case of errors + Mark and label stock + Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks **Essential Skills** + Experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment for at least 6 months + Operational knowledge of pallet jack + High attention to detail + Good communication skills + Reliability and good attendance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Comfortable lifting 50lbs + Ability to speak English, whether it is a secondary language + Attributes of success: asking questions, being attentive when managers are training + Nice to have skills: tape measure, construction, hands-on manufacturing experience **Why Work Here?** Benefit package including medical, vision, dental. All employees are given opportunities for growth and development. **Work Environment** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with an 18-week duration based in West Des Moines, Iowa. It is a fully on-site position, working in a small team of 10-15 individuals. The shift runs from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a current schedule of 32-40 hours a week. During the busy season, the working hours can extend to 50 hours a week with the possibility of working 2 Saturdays a month. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes or boots, shorts or jeans, and a work-appropriate shirt or tank top.
