Job Description
The Warehouse Person is responsible for the efficient and effective conduct of all warehouse activities on a daily basis, including the receipt, storage, staging, and movement of materials as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager. This role also involves monitoring physical security within the warehouse and reporting any security-related issues to supervision/management.
ResponsibilitiesBreak down and receive incoming shipments, verifying that materials and quantities match packing list contents.Perform receipt in D365 and report shipment discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.Label and store received material as directed.Use bar code scanners, docking stations, and other equipment for documentation of material movement.Store materials as directed, inspect materials for Lay-up Maintenance or Shelf-life Program.Conduct periodic inventory cycle counts and physical inventories as directed.Kit and stage materials to support Work Order materials requirements, preparations for shipment, or transfers to scrap.Move and relocate materials using hand truck, forklift, vehicle, or other means.Maintain cleanliness of warehouse spaces and keep walkways/aisles clear of materials or refuse.Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.Essential SkillsMinimum 1-2 years of experience in a related field.Ability to work flexible hours including shift work and overtime, as needed.Excellent attention to detail.Strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills.Record keeping and reporting skills.Good mathematical and data entry skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office platform.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with labelling, materials handling, warehouse inventory, and warehouse operations.Experience in shipping and receiving, material handling, packing, inventory, picking, packaging, and order picking.Experience using RF scanners.Work Environment
Warehouse environment with a day shift schedule from 7AM to 3:30PM.
