**Now Hiring: Warehouse Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. **Responsibilities** + Operate company-owned vehicles safely to deliver merchandise to and from customers and suppliers. + Load and unload merchandise on vehicles. + Obtain signatures on delivery and pick-up tickets. + Follow assigned delivery schedules and ensure timely deliveries. + Report accidents in accordance with company policies. + Pull and check customer orders, preparing them for delivery. + Place stock in proper bin locations and maintain a clean and safe warehouse. + Report operating problems or maintenance needs on vehicles. + Maintain vehicles in a neat and clean condition. + Provide courteous and service-minded interactions with customers. + Receive and ship merchandise. + Inform supervisor of shortages, overloads, or damaged merchandise; refer customer complaints to supervisor. + Attend department and company-wide meetings as requested. + Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor. + Operate a forklift. **Essential Skills** + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. + Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Excellent customer service and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. + Forklift certification preferred but not required. **Why Work Here?** Our client is a well-established company with a rich history dating back to 1919. The work performed will include lifting, reaching, standing, sitting, stooping, and walking. The shift is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
