Job Description

A large manufacturer in Anderson, IN is searching for 12 Warehouse Workers for both 1st and 3rd shifts. These roles involve learning to work in the entire distribution center, including picking, loading, and receiving. This is an open-ended contract with potential for permanent positions for standout employees.

ResponsibilitiesAccurately pick products from designated locations based on order specifications.Safely operate an electric pallet jack to transport products throughout the warehouse.Use scanning equipment to ensure correct items are picked and track inventory.Double-check picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.Place picked items onto pallets in a secure and organized manner.Pull pallets off the conveyor.Scan pallets using the provided equipment.Utilize the SAP system to determine the appropriate door for each pallet.Transport pallets to the designated door using a sit-down forklift.Ensure all safety protocols are followed during the loading process.Use the SAP system to identify the correct door for incoming shipments.Unload shipments from trucks and other delivery vehicles.Stage the area for the next order by tucking the tails, ensuring tags and labels are correct, and putting items away.Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during the receiving process.Essential SkillsWillingness to operate electric pallet jackWillingness to learn and operate sit-down forkliftAbility to work in cold temperaturesSelf-motivated and able to stay on taskAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with RF scannersPicking experience in a warehouse environmentExperience with electric pallet jackWhy Work Here?

Upon being hired directly, pay increases to $24+ per hour. Work Environment

The warehouse operates at 45 degrees, but all cold weather gear, including bibs and gloves, is provided. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toed or composite-toed shoes. The shift hours are subject to change, with 3rd Shift running Sunday-Thursday from 6 PM - 2 AM and 1st Shift running Monday-Friday from 6 AM - 2 PM. Training will be on the assigned shift. Breaks include two 20-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid break.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
