Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for the physical handling, moving, arranging, lifting, and loading of storage boxes, bins, and totes. This position requires frequent kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending forward. The weight of the boxes ranges from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs, and they must be moved manually and via hand carts.

ResponsibilitiesProcess orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.Manually lift, carry, and move/arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.Lift and carry boxes ranging from 10-100 lbs without assistance.Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.Read and write English to process incoming and outgoing orders.Use the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.Operate handheld scanners.Climb and balance on ladders.Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.Essential SkillsAbility to kneel, squat, reach, and bend forward frequently.Capability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance.Experience in operating hand trucks and pallet jacks.Proficiency in using proprietary computer systems and handheld scanners.Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with general labor tasks, RF scanners, and unloading.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Familiarity with using pallet jacks.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a warehouse environment, which involves handling heavy materials and using various equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and handheld scanners. The work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks. Protective footwear that meets ASTM F2413-11 standards and has a slip-resistant rating is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Freehold, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
