Warehouse Worker I- 2nd Shift

Your Opportunity as Warehouse Worker I         

Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, receiving materials and products, and picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and/or shipping products using forklift and pallet jack. Maintain receiving/shipping logs and makes sure that incoming and outgoing products and material are in good condition. Move materials to the production area using the FIFO standard.

Location: Edgerton, KS

Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, KT1 shift, 8 hours, Mon-Fri, 4pm to 12:30am

Pay:  $19.63 / hr., shift differential $.75 / hr.

Reports to: Distribution Supervisor

In this role you will:

Picking, packing, wrapping, and staging of product.Box assembly as needed to support final product preparation.Properly following all processes to ensure a quality product to our customers through compliant operations.Perform other duties as assigned.Demonstrate and promote a solution based positive attitude in meeting goals and objectives.Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained with an eye for detail.Promote and ensure a safe work environment.Forklift Certified

Minimum Qualifications: 

Experience using a RF Gun or WMS inventory tracking system by handheld or Wed Base.Must pass the forklift certification training program.Must pass a forklift written test and practical assessment.Must be able to effectively read, comprehend, interpret, record, and apply information from documents.Proven track record of good attendance.Capability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutions with diverse employees.Willingness to flow to the work to meet the needs of the business.

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:  

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - if preferred, move up to min if required.Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment.Safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow all company Safety Rules & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

Tools and Equipment: All tools and equipment which are required to be used by the employees shall be supplied and kept in repair by the Employer at no cost to the employee. These items must be kept on the premises. Also includes manual floor jacks, computer systems, and other department specific tools.

Work Environment

This job operates in a distribution environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk and hear.Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.May push and pull heavy trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, and catch pans.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
