There is an opening for a Warehouse Worker I at our Freeport Distribution Center.
As a Warehouse Worker I for Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, you will have the opportunity to complete customer orders that will be shipped to people all over the world! In this role, you will use material handling equipment along with shipping tools to process outgoing orders. There are opportunities for advancement with the progression of grade levels in each role and posted positions.
Responsibilities
Off-loading trucks utilizing forklift and pallet jack
Verify that the quality, type, and amount of materials received are accurate
Breaking down freight – Hand off-loading of product to consolidated put-away location
Picking product orders – Hand loading product to pallets
Packaging outbound shipments – Wraps, straps or over pack boxing of product
Manifesting UPS shipments
Creates bills of lading for truck carriers
Produce and attach identifying tags to product or shipments
Fulfills all safety responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned by Production Supervisor/Lead
Qualifications / Requirements
Prior warehouse experience (preferred, but not required)Attention to detail is critical Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.Ability to read and understand work instructions (written and verbal) Ability to adhere to Safety and Quality standards Ability to work for long periods of time on your feetSalary Range: The compensation range identified below is a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from this location. Actual salaries may vary based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training, and other relevant business and organizational factors. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.
The salary range for this position is $18.50-23.66/hour.
