DESCRIPTION:

Fisk Electric is looking for a Warehouseman for receiving, storing, picking, and delivering materials to job sites as required. This role ensures the efficient handling of warehouse stock, from receipt of goods to their distribution. The Warehouseman also ensures that the warehouse is organized and materials are readily available for projects, contributing to the overall productivity of the team.

Material Receipt & Verification:

Receive materials delivered to the warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are checked for accuracy in quantity and condition. Inspect incoming materials for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager. Maintain accurate records of received materials, including updating inventory systems.

Stocking & Organization:

Safely and efficiently stock materials in their designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling and organization. Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse environment by following organizational procedures for material placement and storage.

Order Picking & Preparation:

Pick materials based on job orders and project needs, ensuring that all required items are prepared for timely delivery to job sites. Safely package and prepare materials for transportation, ensuring that items are secure and labeled appropriately.

Material Delivery:

Transport and deliver materials to job sites as scheduled, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Verify materials delivered to job sites with project leads or supervisors and obtain confirmation of receipt.

Inventory Management:

Assist in monitoring stock levels and coordinating reorders as necessary. Conduct periodic inventory checks to maintain accuracy and ensure material availability for projects. Utilize warehouse inventory systems to update stock levels and track material movements.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the safe handling of materials, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain and operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and responsible manner.

General Support:

Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including the maintenance of warehouse equipment, tools, and supplies. Support warehouse operations through proactive problem-solving and ensuring an efficient workflow.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role. Valid A/B driver’s license with a clean driving record. Forklift certification preferred. Basic computer skills with familiarity in using inventory management software. Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be willing and able to work in a warehouse setting, with regular exposure to outdoor conditions when delivering materials to job sites. The role may involve lifting heavy materials, operating machinery, and frequent movement within the warehouse.

The expected pay range for this position is $25-$30 per hour depending on experience.
