This position requires the management of hazardous waste, which may include, but is not limited to, making waste determinations, profiling waste with TSDF, labeling hazardous waste containers, container management (e.g. inspections), and release clean up/emergency response.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Load/unload shipping vehicles. Moves material within the Warehouses to and from the loading platform. Maintains high standards of organization and cleanliness for the Warehouses. Receive materials into the Warehouse manually and on the SAP computer program. Load materials to be shipped. Prepare materials for shipping, including shrink wrapping, labeling and packaging. Perform stock rotations to ensure FEFO. Deliver materials to all warehouses and/or designated storage areas as needed. Maintain accurate inventory and storage locations of all materials.Essential functional duties of the position
Conduct all job responsibilities in manner consistent with all applicable safety and environmental laws and regulations, company policies and procedures, and the commitment to continuously improve safety and environmental performance. Obtain and maintain qualifications for operation of fork lifts. Obtain and maintain qualifications for hazardous material shipping/handling.Secondary responsibilities/accountabilities:
Stage tanker trucks to facilitate safe unloading and loading procedures. Must be able to recognize and correct unsafe loading and unloading situations. Load and unload bulk chemicals from tanker trucks and rail cars. This includes attaching and disconnecting all required hoses for off-loading and loading of tanker trucks and rail cars. Obtain samples from tankers and rail cars, which will sometimes necessitate climbing to the top of the tanker or rail car and opening the top hatch of the tanker or rail car. Complete all required shipping documentation.KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The following knowledge and proficiency skills are required for this position to be acquired through a minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent. Must be able to read and understand and follow directions. Must be able to perform simple math equations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work in a normal warehouse environment and is frequently required to enter the production area of a typical manufacturing facility which has moving mechanical parts, and may have fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, wet and /or humid conditions, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
NOTE: This role is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. As such, conditions of employment are specified in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
