Job Description

Warehouse Person B

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certificationMust be comfortable working outside in the elementsCommunicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materialsIdentify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the FIFO system.Load/unload trucksPick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errorsAssist with inventory counts as requiredGuide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GEDMust have valid forklift certification class 1 licenseMust be able to read a pick listMust be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekendsMust be able to pass a fit for duty Physical2 years forklift experiencePrevious experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferredAble to work independently as well as part of a teamGood organizational, time management and prioritizing skillsStrong work ethic and positive team attitude
