Title:
Wargaming Subject Matter Expert (SME)KBR is seeking a Wargaming Subject Manager Expert (SME) to join our Team. In this role, you will deliver education, training, planning, advising, research, and wargame facilitation services across various knowledge domains. These domains encompass wargaming, threat capabilities, joint warfighting, multimedia, and information technology services for the Marine Corps University (MCU).
Role and Responsibilities:
Serves as a Subject Matter expert Mentor Marines, Sailors, other service members, Interagency, and International Military Officers or create, revise, and update these materials, the Wargaming SME requires a foundational knowledge of wargaming concepts and associated skills.
Provides support and responds to engages in advanced problem solving.
Supports may include physical testing, analyzing data, and interpreting information.
Prepares recommendations and solutions for specific areas in question and manage and lead projects in these areas.
Provides leadership and direction to team members working on the same project.
Studies and analyzes emerging wargaming advanced trends.
Prepares assessments, systems implementation plans, systems integrations and system test and evaluation for field of expertise.
Conducts wargaming program assessments or assessment activities.
Delivers periods of instruction using MCU’s Wargaming training program curriculum, supplemental materials, and products.
Provides training curriculum development and maintenance services for Faculty Development (FACDEV) on Wargaming and Wargame Facilitation.
Provides training curriculum development and maintenance services for participant training in various Tabletop Wargames.
Provides training curriculum development and maintenance services for participant training in various Computer Wargames.
Responsible for content development and delivery; May involve the creation of new material or the revision and updating of existing material.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree plus 10-12 years of related experience.
A master’s degree in strategic studies, Military Studies, National Security, International Relations, or related field is preferred.
Must possess the capability to provide expert instruction on wargaming theory, educational wargaming techniques, and on wargame facilitation.
Must have experience in conducting wargaming program assessments and/or assessment activities.
Must possess the skills to develop curriculum and instruct training-related tasks.
A Marine Corps background that includes resident or non-resident PME courses at an intermediate-level school (ILS) (Command & Staff College equivalent) is preferred but not required.
Must have significant first-hand experience in playing and facilitating a combination of traditional board wargames and computer wargames.
An active secret level security clearance is required.
Required to work on-site at Marine Corps University in Quantico, VA
