The success Manatt's enjoys today in the construction industry started 75 years ago. Back then, it was one man, one truck, and now our team of employees numbers more than 750 strong. We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year. In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.   Our Brooklyn Truck Shop has an immediate opening for a Wash Bay Attendant who will wash and clean interior and exterior of trucks, trailers, and equipment.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Washes and cleans exterior of fleet vehicles and equipment using power washer, cleaning agents, water, hoses, cloths and brushes. Cleans windows, dash/console, and washes rubber floor mats of fleet vehicles. Rinse objects and place on drying racks or use cloth, squeegees, or air compressor to dry surface. Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices. Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris using vacuum cleaner. Applies revitalizer and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components. Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime. Applies special purpose cleaner to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following product manufacturer’s recommendations. Sweeps, shovels, or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers. Monitors operation of cleaning machines and stops machines or notifies supervisor when malfunctions occur. Documents service records using computer software program. Maintains a clean, organized and orderly work area. Abides by established company policies and safety rules as issued by OSHA and/or the company. Secondary functions of general laborer and other duties or special projects may be assigned.

Current Class B CDL (Commercial Driver License) with airbrake endorsement Current IDOT (Iowa Department of Transportation) Physical

Qualifications

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs

Must be able to stand/walk on a concrete surface for extended periods of time

Positive attitude and quality workmanship

Requires excellent visual perception and manual dexterity
