Laundry Attendant

Join the team at Hilton Adelaide! We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant (Wash Person) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens, uniforms, and other laundry items to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Hilton Adelaide is centrally located, overlooking Victoria Square. The hotel has 377 rooms ranging from guest rooms to the executive floor and suites. Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet, eat and sleep, all under one roof.

 What You'll be doing

\n\nOperate industrial washing, drying, and pressing machines efficiently.\nSort, wash, and fold linens, towels, and uniforms according to fabric and cleaning requirements.\nMonitor and maintain proper usage of laundry chemicals and supplies.\nInspect laundered items for stains, damages, or quality concerns and take corrective action.\nEnsure the laundry area is clean, organized, and complies with workplace safety standards.\nAssist with inventory management and reporting when supplies need replenishment.\n\n

What We're Looking For

\n\nPrevious experience in a commercial laundry, hospitality, or healthcare setting (preferred but not required).\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.\nPhysical ability to lift, push, and pull laundry carts and bags.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.\nFlexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.\n
