In the role of Washington Area Professional Services Manager, we'll count on you to:Be responsible to the Area Manager to develop, coordinate, monitor and improve technical competencies of area staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.Lead and monitor development and training of area staff in technical and business competencies.Oversee workload balancing and ensure qualified staffing of project teams.Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities striving for continuous improvement.Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers.Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned.Lead and participate in project reviews and support project teams with management of claims and losses.Lead the Area mentoring initiative.Oversee technical and digital delivery evolution, in collaboration with subject matter experts.Work with Area Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with Area, corporate policy and Matrix of Authority.Oversee and ensure implementation of quality, standards, and best practices.Provide leadership to assigned business class leaders, including the cross-sector leaders.Collaborate with Area operations, market sectors, business classes, and delivery leaders.Participate in Area strategic planning and plan implementation.Support area activities related to hiring and retaining key staff.Serve as a champion for BGX opportunities.Support communication and coordination within all business groups.Perform other duties as neededRequired Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field A minimum 15 years' of experience Maintains professional or engineering registration and has extensive related technical expertise Experienced in management and development of diverse teamsWorks cooperatively with operations managers, technical staff and marketing managers on professional services-related effortsCommitted to quality, improvement and HDR valuesAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
