The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.

Role Description:

Maintaining of aircraft and their associated engines and sub-systems to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed and aircraft airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structural components such as cowlings and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units.Inspects engines and associated components for airworthiness.Repair or replaces defective engine components.Removes and installs engines, props or rotor blades, transmissions, flight controls and other aircraft components.Read and interpret original equipment manufacturer and program maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other related documentation to determine feasibility and method of altering or repairing the aircraft and its associated components.Determines the airworthiness of the aircraft and its associated components.Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring and associated components.Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including hydraulic system servicing, engine oil replenishment, aircraft systems lubrication, aircraft fueling, etc.Interacts with Company maintenance control, the customer and manufacturer in matters that concern the airworthiness of the aircraft, operational readiness of the aircraft and issues related to the troubleshooting of the aircrafts system.Knowledge of U.S. Army Maintenance Documentation System, i.e 738-751 DoS Pam Gen 1, 328-23.Required to complete maintenance documentation in compliance with all applicable program procedures.Required to make entries electronically through the program MIS.Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or GEDMust have current FAA issued Mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratingsCMF 15 aviation MOS series or another military or commercial equivalentMust have prior experience maintaining specific assigned aircraft: H-60Must have at least 10 years direct experience in aircraft maintenance, civilian or militaryMust have exercised the privilege of their A and P License for a minimum of 6 months of the previous 24 monthsSpanish Level II LanguageMust have experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates, and other incomplete dataAbility to pass physical screeningPassport with 18 months remainingPosition requires the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance
