The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. **Role Description:** Perform non-destructive inspections using various industry approved methods on aircraft structures, components, sub- components, and appliances. **Key Responsibilities:** + Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures. + Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) such as acoustic emission, electromagnetic, leak, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, neutron radiographic, radiographic, thermal or infrared, ultrasonic, vibration analysis, and visual testing. + Select, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing (NDT) of products or materials. + Identify defects in solid materials using ultrasonic testing techniques. + Prepare reports on non-destructive testing (NDT) results. + Conduct liquid penetrant tests to locate surface cracks by coating objects with fluorescent dyes, cleaning excess penetrant, and applying developer. + Document non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, processes, or results. + Produce images of objects on film using radiographic techniques. \#LI-MZ1 Qualifications: Required: + High School diploma or GED. + Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in NDI position. + Minimum of four (4) years’ experience certified as a LEVEL II PT, MT, ET and UT inspector under NAS-410, ASNT SNT-TC-1A or ATA-105. + Knowledge of fracture mechanics, probability of detection and confidence levels of inspections. + Working knowledge of assigned aircraft forms and records and standard operating procedures. + Position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance. + Any physical abilities required for the job. + OCONUS: + Ability to pass physical screening. + Passport with 18 months remaining.
