The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.

Role Description:

Perform non-destructive inspections using various industry approved methods on aircraft structures, components, sub- components, and appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) such as acoustic emission, electromagnetic, leak, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, neutron radiographic, radiographic, thermal or infrared, ultrasonic, vibration analysis, and visual testing.Select, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing (NDT) of products or materials.Identify defects in solid materials using ultrasonic testing techniques.Prepare reports on non-destructive testing (NDT) results.Conduct liquid penetrant tests to locate surface cracks by coating objects with fluorescent dyes, cleaning excess penetrant, and applying developer.Document non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, processes, or results.Produce images of objects on film using radiographic techniques.

Required:

High School diploma or GED.Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in NDI position.Minimum of four (4) years’ experience certified as a LEVEL II PT, MT, ET and UT inspector under NAS-410, ASNT SNT-TC-1A or ATA-105.Knowledge of fracture mechanics, probability of detection and confidence levels of inspections.Working knowledge of assigned aircraft forms and records and standard operating procedures.Position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.Any physical abilities required for the job.OCONUS:Ability to pass physical screening.Passport with 18 months remaining.
