WASS Quality Control Lead

The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. **Role Description:** Responsible for maintaining the Quality Control, at the site level in support of assigned aircraft and support equipment. Inspect, remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, reassemble, and calibrate complex aircraft mechanical and electromechanical systems in accordance with maintenance manuals, test procedures and other military publications. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform the receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional operational tests during organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance, modification and repair of military tactical aircraft systems or associated components. + Accept or reject work accomplished to ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards, and technical data. + Perform analysis of defects and interpret quality control rejection and failure trends to provide creative solutions for improvement. + Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements. Monitors training and certification requirements of the site Quality Control department. + Perform Safety and Foreign Object Damage Inspections. + Reviews aircraft forms and records related IAW contract requirements. + Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. + Promotes a positive safety culture within the Quality Control department. + Perform additional duties as assigned. \#LI-HD1 Qualifications: **Basic Qualifications** **:** + High School Diploma or GED. + FAA Airframe and Powerplant License. + Minimum 10 years of experience of which 8 must be specialized in supporting an aviation/aerospace program. + A thorough working knowledge of TO military specifications is essential. + Prior Quality Control experience. + Leadership experience. + Host nation language proficiency per contract requirement. LATAM countries Spanish Level 2 in both Listening and Reading L2 R2. + Ability to pass physical screening. + Passport with 18 months remaining. + English is also required. **Preferred:** + A.A.A. S or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. + FAA Inspection Authorization. + Previous Quality Control experience on rotary and or fixed wing specific assigned aircraft HH-60, UH-1 and or DHC-8. + Experience in customer support. + Technical writing and or editing experience. + Ability to maintain strong customer relationships. + Knowledge of Army Regulations 95-1, DA PAM 738-750 751, FM 3-04-500 CH.8 QC or Air Force Technical Orders System. + Familiar with CFR Part 43, 91, 121, 135, 145 Quality or Inspection experience previous RII Required Inspection Items authorization. **Compensation and Benefits:** + Salaried Position. + 43/20 Rotation schedule and a 48 hour work week. + Competitive salary and bonus package, + 401(k) retirement plan with company match. + Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. + Professional development and career advancement opportunities.
