The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
Position performs accepting material as well as assets from the dock and processing through Receiving. Requires coordinating with other Departments such as Quality, Property, Warehousing and Shipping.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads and coordinates daily activities of workers engaged in materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling.Reviews shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products.Develops work schedules and assigns work to subordinates.Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.Understands and follows company procedures and work instructions.Trains other employees in proper procedures.Enters and updates inventory information as required.Operates forklifts, pallet loaders, pallet jacks, packing machines, package scales, and other equipment.Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements.The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.5-10% local travel.#LI-MZ1

High school diploma or GED equivalent.Minimum 8 years of experience, of which 6 years must be at a technical level or field.Ability to apply acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete task of moderate scope and complexity.Exercises judgement within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.Position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to multi-task.Proficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point).Good communication skills are a must.Compensation and Benefits:
