Job Title: Senior Wastewater EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wastewater Engineer to join our team at our Clifton Park, NY office. This is an immediate opening for a senior -level professional to support wastewater projects from initial programming through design and construction. Responsibilities + Work within a project team to support wastewater projects from initial project programming through design and construction. + Lead and independently prepare complete design packages (plans, specifications, estimates) for wastewater projects, including utility pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. + Prepare technical reports including engineering reports, utility master plans, capital improvement plans, condition assessments, asset management plans, and feasibility studies for wastewater systems. + Conduct field investigations to assess site conditions, inspect facilities, and provide engineering support during design and construction. + Coordinate with regulatory and governmental agencies for applicable permits. + Provide construction administration support including project meetings, shop drawing reviews, reviewing/responding to RFIs, assisting in preparing project punch lists, completing periodic site inspections, and coordination with clients. + Coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines. + Support and mentor junior-level staff to share technical job knowledge and experience. + Assist with technical marketing during the procurement of key projects, including participation in presentations. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. + Experience in civil engineering and consulting with a focus on municipal projects, including wastewater. + Understanding of State, Federal, and local regulations specific to sanitary sewers and wastewater treatment. + Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D as a design tool for the preparation of plans. + Strong technical writing and communication skills. + Ability to work within multiple design teams and execute to meet demanding schedules. + Proficiency in Microsoft productivity suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Understanding of hydraulic modeling (SewerGEMs or similar) is preferred. + Experience with utility pipelines, pumping stations, and water treatment. + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. + Experience with HydroCAD and other modeling software.
