Core Responsibilities

Laboratory analysis of process and regulated samples for wastewater and water systems.

Collects samples for analysis.

Performs detailed laboratory analyses complying with standard operating procedures.

Enhances safety and good laboratory practices.

Accurately records all results of laboratory procedures performed in company laboratory notebooks/bench sheets.

Assists in preparation of new and amended operating procedures.

Receives all samples and verifies chain of custody.

Helps maintain the laboratory, equipment, glassware, and storage room in clean ready to use conditions.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associate Degree from an accredited university or college in Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

Lab experience is preferred.

Able to read and follow written & verbal instructions.

Ability to accurately record and interpret data testing results.

Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.

Demonstrates effective time management.

Communicate and collaborate effectively within team and with members of other departments.

Understand science-based principles, formulas and specifications.

Mathematical skill (calculate ratios, fractions, percentages, conversions, decimals, etc.).

Troubleshooting: Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Must have the ability to complete required applicable forms in English, which requires the ability to read and write in English.

Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
