Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has immediate opportunities for Wastewater Operators at our Rockport Works operation. The Wastewater Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting wastewater and boiler equipment in the facility to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Monitor and control wastewater and water treatment processes, including pumps, valves and chemical feed systemsOperate and monitor boilers and auxiliary equipment to maintain proper pressure, temperature and other operating parametersConduct regular inspections of treatment facilities to ensure proper functioning of equipment and processesMaintain compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulationsRespond promptly to operational issues to prevent or minimize disruption in wastewater treatmentCollect samples and perform routine laboratory analysis to evaluate water quality and treatment efficiencyDocument operational data and test results accuratelyOther duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Working ability to use computer programs for process controlStrong work ethic, stellar attendance record, attention to detailMust demonstrate ability to work in a team environmentHigh School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a related position and industrial environment
