Job Title: Wastewater Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Plant Operator for an operations project in Bushy Park, SC. The Plant Operator will perform a wide range of tasks encompassing field assignments based on client requirements. This role involves daily operations and maintenance of the treatment plant, ensuring compliance with permit requirements, and participating actively in creating a safety culture at the jobsite.

ResponsibilitiesPerforming daily operations and maintenance of the treatment plant.Completing minor routine maintenance of equipment.Demonstrating good interpersonal skills.Applying a working knowledge of fundamental principles, terminology, and methodology in carrying out assignments.Operating facilities with computer or PLC controls.Monitoring, regulating, and adjusting chlorinators, chemical feed pumps, and other process equipment.Collecting samples and performing routine in-lab tests as required.Maintaining a log of operations and maintenance activities and related records.Operating systems to maintain compliance with permit requirements.Washing clarifiers, dissolved air flotation systems, contact basins, and operating sludge handling equipment and other process unit equipment, as required.Possessing good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required in the O&M of industrial facilities and the ability to make routine laboratory and field tests for control of plant operations.Possibly operating a variety of equipment: forklift, aerial or scissor lifts, generator, compressors, pumps, etc.Participating actively in creating a safety culture at the jobsite.Adhering to the policies and standards set forth in the Firm’s Project Delivery Manual (PDM), Employee Manual, and Corporate Health & Safety Manual.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma / Vocational training or equivalent.Applicable health & safety training.Typically, 5+ years’ experience in wastewater operations.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Wastewater operator licenses not required, but preferred.Must have and maintain a valid driver license.Ability to perform basic control laboratory testing and understanding and applying results.Good record-keeping skills, comfortable with computers and computer-controlled equipment, and capable of learning new operating, maintenance, analytical, or computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with O&M of industrial wastewater facilities.Experience operating plant controls and performing plant maintenance.Ability to travel to various customer sites as needed.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
