Wastewater Process Mechanical Engineer (Remote)
HIRING: Senior Wastewater Engineer (Fully Remote)
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Wastewater Engineer to join our team on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system design, with experience preparing construction documents and technical reports. As a Senior Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects.
Responsibilities:Design wastewater treatment plants, pumping systems, and other water infrastructure projectsPrepare construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reportsLead design tasks and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project deliveryDevelop and review engineering calculations and designs for wastewater treatment plants and pumping systemsParticipate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and executionProvide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and designersEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standardsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholdersRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering3-8 years of experience in wastewater design, treatment plant design, and pumping system designEIT certification preferredExperience preparing construction documents including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports for a variety of municipal water and wastewater projectsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MathCADExperience as a Task Design Lead or equivalent roleAbility to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervisionPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 monthsExperience with design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, or similar programsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbout Actalent
