The Wastewater Specialist Analyst will serve as a member of the EHS team reporting to the site EHS Manager. Primary responsibilities include promoting and implementing all EHS objectives with primary emphasis on environmental compliance. The expected annual salary range for this role is $60374.97 - $88549.96 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** • Act as a Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) grade 6 certified industrial wastewater treatment operator maintaining effluent to meet regulatory permit requirements including maintaining supply and part inventory, and performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process. • Handle, accumulate and coordinate hazardous waste storage and disposal according with federal, state, and local regulations. • Maintain and monitor environmental practices and permitting to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements (e.g. hazardous waste, wastewater, storm water, etc.). • Partner with front-line leadership to drive a robust zero-incident EHS culture by supporting daily EHS communications. • Assist with developing, tracking, and conducting required EHS training. • Assist with developing Management of Environmental, Health, and Safety (MESH) Ambassadors across all product lines with an emphasis on environmental topics. • Conduct safety and environmental audits to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety department. **Qualifications:** **Required (Basic) Qualifications:** • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of two (2) years of wastewater treatment experience **OR** High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of wastewater treatment experience. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. **Preferred Qualifications:** • RCRA, HazWoper, and HazMat DOT training. • Hold a Class 6 (Physical Chemical Treatment) industrial wastewater operator certificate **OR** a Physical/Chemical Industrial Treatment Certification from the Water Professionals International (WPI). **Skills:** • Basic knowledge of federal and state rules governing wastewater discharges and industrial safety. • Basic knowledge and experience in operating a wastewater treatment facility. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work. • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Basic algebra skills. • Ability to operate a forklift. • Safety first focus factory which requires proper PPE where applicable. • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds within any given day. • Will require focus evaluations from close proximity and frequent use of hand to eye coordination. • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. \#LI-CB3 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
