Principal Accountabilities

Performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment processPerforming routine and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all wastewater and groundwater equipmentPerforming daily/weekly checks of monitoring equipment (samplers, probes, meters, etc.)Performing general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the Environmental Department’s area of operationBackfilling other positions/tasks as neededCompleting daily wastewater lab testing and adjusting control inputs to the aeration systemOperating the biogas systemEntering data in excel spreadsheets and maintaining records

Required Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionBasic Computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

Have high school diploma or GEDHave valid Texas driver’s licenseGood attendance recordWork weekends on a rotational scheduleLift a minimum of 40 lbsGeneral working knowledge of basic machinery, preventative maintenance, and repairWork effectively in a team environment and also have the ability to take independent action in a timely manner using good judgement with minimum supervisionSuccessful candidate will be required to take wastewater and water classes and obtain both (Wastewater and Water Operator licenses) within ONE YEAR of employment
