Wastewater Treatment Manager Job ID 194457 Posted 26-Nov-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance, Environmental Consultancy, Health and Safety/Environment Location(s) Santa Rosa - California - United States of America **About the Role: ** As a CBRE Industrial Wastewater Treatment Manager, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, directing, and overseeing the activities and operation of the industrial wastewater treatment, deionized water and irrigation systems. **What You’ll Do:** + Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. + Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. + Develop and facilitate short- and long-range strategic goals, objectives, policies, and priorities. Assist in monitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures. + Resolve problems and assign project and programmatic areas of responsibility. + Participate in the development of the budget and estimate funds needed for equipment, materials, and supplies. + Maintain and execute Safety and Regulatory programs. This includes standard operating procedures, training, accident, and injury review, etc. + Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE values (Respect, Integrity, Service, & Excellence.). + Lead the response team efforts for alarms and upset conditions during working and non-working hours (including 24hr x 7day/week response readiness and leadership). Irrigation permit responsibilities: + Proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the irrigation system. + Control of onsite piping to prevent any cross-connections with potable water supplies. + Routine inspection and maintenance of backflow prevention devices installed to protect potable water supplies, consistent with CCR Title 17 section 7605. + General responsibilities to ensure operational compliance with the site Reclaim Water Irrigation Permit and continuous implementation of any BMPs identified as necessary to prevent potential hazards to public health and to protect the environment. + Collaborating with EHS to manage/update the Keysight Technologies Irrigation Management Plan (IMP). + Ensuring adherence to the Keysight Technologies Reclaimed Water Operations and Management Plan. Industrial wastewater discharge permit responsibilities: + Proper operation and maintenance of the process wastewater treatment system + Maintain documented operational procedures and safe work practices; train staff + Ensure appropriate samples are checked daily for operational indicator parameters + Respond in a timely manner to notifications of out-of-spec conditions; report to EHS immediately if conditions are outside the industrial discharge permit conditions + Investigate and implement corrective measures for any injuries or out-of-spec conditions **What You’ll Need: ** + Ability to obtain OSHA HAZWOPER certification. + Respirator program qualification required for various chemical handling operations. + Industrial wastewater chemistry knowledge required; background in inorganic chemistry required. + Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions and chemistry related calculations. + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred. + Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. + Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. \#GWSFMS California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Wastewater Treatment Manager position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Wastewater Treatment Manager position is $135,800. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
