Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate equipment and utilize chemicals to treat stormwater, manage waste materials, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment efficiently.

ResponsibilitiesPerform all work in a safe manner and comply with all safe work policies, programs, and procedures.Operate equipment and utilize chemicals to treat stormwater for discharge in compliance with the State issued facility stormwater permit.Manage waste materials generated at the facility for disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements.Inspect, clean, repair, and maintain the condition of stormwater treatment equipment, chemical systems, tanks, filters, pumps, filter press, and associated equipment.Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to determine system efficiency and detect malfunctions.Coordinate larger repairs and maintenance with the appropriate management personnel and subcontractors.Collect, preserve, and ship samples to a laboratory for analysis.Record and maintain records as required for the stormwater treatment system operation and regulatory reporting.Test, troubleshoot, and respond to all alarms at the facility. Verify all backup systems are operational.Maintain a clean and efficient work area.Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers.Attend and participate in training sessions.Essential SkillsA high school diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of experience in wastewater treatmentCertification in wastewater treatmentThorough knowledge and understanding of industry best practices, risk assessment techniques, standards, and all applicable laws and regulations related to stormwater treatmentSafety consciousMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsStrong attention to detailAdditional Skills & QualificationsFlexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environmentWhy Work Here?

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sheridan, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $83200.00

Medical, dental, vision 401K, potential for bonuses depending on profitability. In this role there are yearly Cost of living adjustment raises as well. must be comfortable leading and managing people to advance
