Pay Rate: $20.00 - $35.00 / hour Duties: + Monitor control panels and adjust valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate flow of industrial wastewater. + Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret meter and gauge readings and tests results to determine load requirements. + Start and stop pumps to control flow of industrial waste water through treating, settling and sludge press processes. + Perform preventive maintenance tasks in waste water treatment area. + Maintain log of operations and record meter and gauge readings; such as test results, chemical usage, etc. + Collect water samples and conduct laboratory tests on wastewater. + Maintain inventory and report usage/needed material to designated personnel. + Load and unload hazardous chemicals from truck by means of lift truck and physical handling. + Share responsibility for obtaining and moving chemical/materials for plating operation. + Provide backup assistance to the process/laboratory technician. + Preparation/loading of hazardous waste shipments. + Sign Hazardous Materials / Waste shipping papers. + Prepare SMR data for regulatory submittal. + Perform weekly hazardous waste inspections as per regulatory requirements. .
